Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 8, 2026

Apex UST Testing ("Apex UST Testing," "we," "us," or "our") provides underground storage tank (UST) testing, compliance tracking, and related services through this website and the associated customer/employee portal (together, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

  • Account information: name, email address, phone number, and role, collected when your account is created and managed through our authentication provider, Clerk.
  • Company and site information: business name, address, and the sites/locations associated with your account.
  • Service data: testing appointments, tank/line/cathodic protection testing results, and inspection reports (including PDF documents) generated in the course of providing the Service.
  • Invoicing data: invoices and line items associated with your account, including invoices synced from a connected QuickBooks Online account (see "QuickBooks Online integration" below).
  • Communications: messages exchanged between you and our staff within the Service's messaging feature.

How we use this information

We use the information above to:

  • Schedule and track UST testing and provide compliance documentation;
  • Display invoices and testing results to the appropriate company and users;
  • Send service-related notifications (e.g. appointment confirmations, invoice status, testing results) by email;
  • Enable messaging between customers and our staff;
  • Maintain, secure, and improve the Service.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

QuickBooks Online integration

Apex UST Testing connects its own QuickBooks Online account to the Service to import invoice data into the portal, so that customers can view their invoices without a separate login. Customers do not connect a QuickBooks Online account of their own — this integration is between Apex UST Testing and its own QuickBooks Online company only. Access is read-only: the Service does not create, modify, or delete anything in the connected QuickBooks Online account. Authorization tokens issued by Intuit are stored encrypted and are used only to maintain that read-only connection.

Service providers

We share information with the following service providers, solely to operate the Service on our behalf:

  • Clerk — authentication and account management;
  • Cloudflare — storage of uploaded/generated report documents;
  • SendGrid — transactional email delivery;
  • Intuit (QuickBooks Online) — invoice data from Apex UST Testing's own connected QuickBooks Online account;
  • Railway and Vercel — application hosting and infrastructure.

These providers only process data as needed to deliver their service to us and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

Data security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted storage of authentication credentials and third-party access tokens, and access controls that limit data to the company and users it belongs to.

Your choices

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account information by contacting us at the email below. Deleting your account may limit or end your ability to use the Service.

Children's privacy

The Service is intended for business use and is not directed at, or knowingly used by, children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
